STUDY UPDATE - AUGUST 2011

A review of the 2008 child sponsorship comparison study and subsequent updates for 2009 and 2010, involving Children International, Child Fund (formerly known as Christian Children's Fund), Compassion International, Plan USA, Save the Children and World Vision sponsorship programs revealed no programmatic changes.

In our 2011 study, it was still evident that Children International remains the most cost-effective, continuing to be the least expensive monthly fee. Children International continues to maintain a large one-to-one impact on the children that are sponsored through their programs, in addition to providing benefits that equal or exceed the other organizations in the study. When comparing the cost to sponsor, it is worth pointing out that sponsorship through Children International can provide a savings of up to $16, while making a marked difference in the life of a sponsored child and the community where they live.

Children International is also one of only two sponsorship organizations offering a special social networking community. Children International's social community, LiftOne (www.liftone.org), was developed specifically for our sponsors, in an effort to provide a special connecting point between our field offices, other sponsors, in addition to our staff. We do this by providing special information (photos, videos, blog posts) from our agencies, who work directly with our sponsored children and their families.
